THE CRAFTIES

The Crafties was one of Gerard mchugh's band projects in the early 2000’s. The lineup for the band was drawn from the Atlanta music scene- Candi Jiosne (Viva la Diva, Group Sex), Brett Norton (Catbird Seat, Sugarland), and Allen Broyles (Josh Joplin Group).

Palace Fool was recorded and produced by, Rob Gal. The result is an eclectic mix of songs heavily influenced by the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The title of the album is loosely taken from his short story "Hop-Frog or the Eight Chained Ourang-Outangs" as well as the songs "Hopfrog" and "Trippetta's Theme". Overall the CD is a diverse and refreshing take on indie/alt-pop music.
