Daemon is excited to offer up this CD. Jenny is one to admire - a jack of all trades in the music world. In the 90’s she started one of the most influential artist-owned labels, Simple Machines, while also releasing four albums with her band Tsunami. She’s a regular at Insound.com giving her advise on making music and is currently the executive director for the Future of Music Coalition which explores and lobbies for artists rights.

Somehow she’s found time to record a two disc cd! Antidote was recorded in two different sessions - one in Chicago and one in Nashville - and so named are the discs. A full band cd with long-time collaborator, cellist/bassist Amy Domingues (I saw her at a show and she rocks!) and numerous other impressive artists, these songs border on country and pop. The lush instrumentation and vivid lyrics take you right where she wants you and with few apologies. Most of these tracks deal with relationships and all that it brings - from communication in "Word Traffic" (He had more records than words / so he played them when we’re alone instead of speaking) to gently dumping your mate in "Clear Cut" (did anyone tell you you were short on sharing / long winded overbearing). Add this with a gorgeous voice and you have a record that discloses a bit of her vulnerable side but that is always perceptive and honest.
